Girl on the Leeside by Kathleen Anne Kenney

This is a bit of a delayed review since I finished reading Girl on the Leeside about 2 weeks ago but just didn't get around to writing a review for it. But I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. As someone who struggles with the idea of growing up, I can completely relate to the main character Siobhan. Kathleen Kenney brilliantly illustrates the story of a girl finding her purpose in life. Although Siobhan finds herself swept up in a romance, I appreciated that this wasn’t the main focus of the story. The romance complements rather than overshadows the overall narrative. If you’re looking for a good comforting story with a happy ending, Girl on the Leeside is just that.
