Book Review - Curse of Shadows and Thorns by LJ Andrews
Curse of Shadows and Thorns by LJ Andrews
LJ Andrews couldn't have put it better when she said that this book would be "part Viking, part Beauty, and the Beast." Although they sound entirely different, the way they were put together in this book just works. The world building in the book was excellent and nothing was left unexplained.
The main character of this book is Elise Lysander, the niece of the king, who ends up having to marry by the king's wishes. Legion Gray, a mysterious handsome man, is set as her dowry negotiator. If you can't already tell where this book is going to go, Elise and Legion become romantically involved. However, things aren't always what they seem, and people aren't always who they seem.
Major secrets are revealed about several of the main characters in this book that are, although somewhat predictable, perfect to the story. Overall, I completely enjoyed this read and was able to finish it in about 7 hours of reading. I will definitely be reading the following books in the series.
