Book Review - Glint by Raven Kennedy
Glint by Raven Kennedy
The only way I can start this review is by saying OH. MY. GOD. This sequel completely surpassed all my expectations. When I tell you my jaw actually dropped while reading the last page, I'm not exaggerating in the slightest. I'm not sure I've ever been as shocked by a book's ending before. Whereas the first book in the series felt slower-paced and like a lot of worldbuilding, this book came through with so much more. Definitely worth the read in my opinion.
In the review for the Gild, I mentioned that I was getting annoyed with Auren always allowing herself to get walked all over by men, specifically King Midas, and although it did continue throughout this book, she finally learns her worth. After being separated from Midas and then being reunited, Auren realizes that Midas' "love" for her has been wrong and misguided the entire time and that she's been blinded by the thought that he could love her.
After the major cliffhanger at the end, I cannot wait to read the third book and I'll probably start reading it tonight.
