Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater

Before fully diving into this novel, I’ll admit that I had high expectations. Unfortunately, this book let me down. I’m not sure what I was expecting, but to be blunt, many characters and events in this novel were cringey. The main character’s, Grace’s, only characteristic was her fascination for a singular wolf (you guessed it, her love interest, Sam). And believe it or not but Sam’s only characteristic was his unexplainable fascination for a girl (yup, Grace). I found it difficult to continue reading this book because its dramatic writing style took away from the storyline. Although this was not the worst book I’ve ever read, I have no interest in reading the other books in the series.
