My Mechanical Romance by Alexene Farol Follmuth

My Mechanical Romance is the YA debut of the author of The Atlas Six, Olivie Blake. The Atlas Six has been on my TBR list for months at this point. I've started to read it but keep putting it off. I liked this book though because it was a refreshing change from the fantasy books that I've been reading recently. 

Bel is a girl who just joined a new school and is essentially forced into joining the school robotics team. Mateo "Teo" Luna is the captain of the robotics club. Bel and Teo go from butting heads to being friends to being something more. 

Overall this was a very wholesome, cute read. It's also inspirational to young girls interested in STEM because it shows that although women in STEM face obstacles that men don't, it's still possible to be successful.
