Book Review - The Serpent and the Wings of the Night by Carissa Broadbent

The Serpent and the Wings of the Night by Carissa Broadbent

I wish I would've read this book sooner. I absolutely loved this book. It was like hunger games but with vampires, and I loved every second of it. It was entertaining and intriguing and kept me wondering what would happen next the entire time.

Oraya is a human who was taken in at 10 years old and raised by vampire King Vincent. In order to survive as human prey in a world of vampires, Oraya enters the Kejari which would allow her to ask the goddess for a wish if she won. During the competition, she finds herself in an alliance with Raihn, a handsome but dangerous killer. She ends up falling for him but knows that only one person can win the Kejari. One thing is certain: there is nothing more deadly than love.

The twists, turns, and betrayals had me completely shocked. I never expected them to happen, but they made the story so perfect. I'm glad that I waited to read this book because the second installment in the series comes out on April 14, so I only have to wait for two weeks or so for it to be released. I would 100% recommend this book to anyone who likes dark fantasy, or dark fantasy romance.
